Health Care Professions Scholarship
Each year the Executive Board selects an NCCA member to receive the H.G. "Gus" Moeller Award. The award is given for outstanding service to the association and its membership. The winner is selected from nominations submitted by members.
Nominations are presently being accepted for the 2016 Award, which will be presented during the Annual Conference. Each member may make ONE nomination. If more than one nomination is received from a member, they will be returned.
The deadline for ALL nominations is September 30, 2016. No nominations will be accepted after that date. Nominations must be submitted on the nomination form and mailed to your Regional Chairperson or the address at the bottom of this page.
Criteria
The nominee must be an active member in good standing with the North Carolina Correctional Association and the American Correctional Association for the past three (3) years.
The nominee must be an active member of one of the NCCA's regions.
The nominee must be recognized for having contributed to the professional growth and success of an individual region or NCCA.
The nominee must promote professionalism within his/her correctional area through meeting correctional challenges and serving as an example to others.
The nominee, when possible, must serve as a mentor for others who are aspiring correctional professionals or desire to be such based upon the leadership of the nominee.
